Review of Depot in the Castle W/ Clean Bandit & Tom Odell

A fabulous event with great music. Beautiful setting and lovely atmosphere. Clean Bandit were definitely the highlight! What looked like a good kids zone has made me think about taking my daughter next year if you run another event. Lots of yummy food vendors and a good selection of bars. Unfortunately the Pims, c**ktail & Gin bar were only manned by 1 or 2 people which is madness for an event this size! Myself and friends waited on average 45 minutes to get served which is totally unacceptable! However, the queue for water was a short one which was helpful as the weather was quite warm and there were lots of children there. Had a fabulous time overall.

Will never go again as the queues for the bars were ridiculous. Expensive and just not enough bars for the capacity. Spent half my day queuing

The bar organization was ridiculous no queuing system in place and 1 hour wait (and that was in VIP) the normal bar was 2 hours..
This really spoilt my day plus I got charged £119 for a round of drinks which was obviously a mistake but I am unable to do anything about it .. as it would have taken another hour to get it sorted and I really didn’t want to waist my first 2 hours missing everything in a queue... we were a big group and I won’t be going again .. real shame

Arriving the check of ticket machines wouldn't work for ages. Bar took 40-50 mins to get served. Food stalls run out. Overall management of event totally under estimated people. Music good though. Overall not good value for money.

We absolutely loved Depot in the Castle! The only thing we didn't like was having to queue an hour for food, but that is going to happen at a festival-type event. The music, atmosphere, entrance and exit to the event was all really great. We are looking forward to coming back next year!

Not enough bars or toilets. Queues way too long. 45 min wait for a drink and we missed most of Tom Odell as a result

Superb venue. Awesome band. But to queue for 2 beers and a c**e for 45mins and then 2 c**ktails for 1hr 20mins in this day and age is an absolute shocker. Works out as the most expensive concert we've ever been to. And to top it off, just as we were about to get served, we were told there was no ice left for the drinks and most of the ingredients had run out!!!!! Way to go Depot, superb organisation 😡

Venue at the castle was amazing. Organisation unfortunately was lacking. Massive queues and didnt accommodate the number of people there in terms of toilets, food and drink. Music was amazing though despite not knowing a proper line up with times.

We had great weather and really good atmosphere and having a music festival on your door step should have been a fab event. However, this was spoilt by the long queues for EVERYTHING!!! From getting a drink at the bar to children’s stuff such as face painting! If you’re not allowing any drinks or food to be brought into the venue then the organisers should at least have made sure that there are enough vendors to cater for the number of people there. My daughter and her friends queued up what she thought was the one for crepes only to be told that there was a separate queue to ordering and collecting!! They eventually got their crepes after an hour of waiting! We were so fed up that we went across the road to eat at pizza express and made it back just before 7pm - as a result we missed part of Tom Odell’s set. It would have been great if it hadn’t been for the queues and it ended up being a very expensive concert ticket to see Clean Bandits and not the festival experience we were expecting :-(

Terrible problems with getting serviced at bar -we were in VIP- spoilt the whole experience.

The venue was decorated fantastically. The kids area was brilliant. More than one bar is needed, with more toilets also. Street food vendors need to be more prepared with plenty of stock as when I went to get food at 6pm lots of vendors had run out of key I seiners for their dishes. Families should be allowed to bring in picnics to keep costs down given the cost of the tickets. The music was great and the atmosphere was fabulous against the stunning welsh backdrop.
