Review of Shangri-La NYE w/ LF SYSTEM x Dan Shake!

Door staff robbed us blind have complained to depot too will not be going again unless a full refund is given absolute abuse of power joke honestly

Was really looking forward to seeing LF System, but unfortunately didn't get to see them. 
One of our group was stopped on entry by sniffer dog and was then searched. He had nothing illegal on him (nor any trace of - sniffer may have picked up scent of his own dog) and security then threatened to call the police despite having nothing on him. They later let him go into the event but later kicked him out for vaping. We didn't know that we couldn't vape inside (as there were a lot of other people vaping  inside the premises) and he wasn't vaping at the time that he was escorted out. I feel that he had been singled out because of the sniffer dog incident earlier. He left the premises quietly and respectfully but security weren't having any of it. The other two of our group also left in solidarity as he wouldn't have had anywhere else to go (and he was staying at mine as he doesn't live in Cardiff). 
Was really disappointed and this ruined our New Year's Eve. We've been to many events at Depot previously but this would now make me think twice about going again in future. 
I appreciate that security have a job to do but they were rude and I felt that they were being a jobsworth. They could've simply said to us that we can't vape inside and he would've stopped. It did not warrant being kicked out of the event after paying £30 each to be there.
