Review of Shangri-La Presents: Hannah Laing “Welcome to the doof” UK tour
The music and venue itself was great however it was severely let down by the organisation and way we were treated by staff! I went with my boyfriend and we got split up to get in leaving me by myself in a queue a lot longer than his. This was the first let down. He then was refused entry and made to change which was fine, we apologised for not reading into the dress code he changed and they kindly let us in again. We then went in together and enjoyed ourselves for the 20 minutes we were in there before a staff member kicked him out for carrying his bottoms he had to change out of! He did not put these back on he was just carrying them. They were aggressive with him for no reason as he was not threatening and remained calm but the bouncer proceeded to grab and push him. I was again left alone and vulnerable and was not told where they took him or where I could find him. I had to leave the venue and look for him alone. We had travelled far for this event and were really looking forward to seeing the artist play but we didn't even get the chance to. I am extremely disappointed and feel like I have wasted a lot of money on tickets and hotels for us to have our night ruined! I will be hesitant to book with you again.
