Saturday 12th of October myself and some of the most splendid Selectas from South Wales Underground House scene, are taking over the basement of District nightclub in Cardiff, for a pure, unadulterated, good old fashion rave! District is the perfect setting, with easily the best club ready, state of the art sound and lighting of any nightclub in the Welsh capital.
This is for South Wales raving community, so please, if you know how to rave and have a good time, please do join us! Let’s make this party one to remember for all the right reasons.
Joining me to get the rave started in the right way, are DJs deeply passionate about their music and with nothing but love and respect for this wonderful culture we call HOUSE!
DJ Clare James - A lady who needs little introduction. From her residency for the legendary Backroom parties at the Vaults and Trade Street Warehouse, to smashing it regularly at the Delete Car Park parties. You can’t help but love Clare’s selection and infectious energy behind those decks. She always smashes it out the park! Thats why she’s the Queen of the House scene here in Wales.
Paul Lyons - A veteran of the music scene in Wales, entering his 5th decade in the industry. From selling vinyl out of his Loony Tune record store in Castle Arcade in the early 90’s, to holding down residencies at legendary clubs such as Lloyds, The Hippo and Toucan. While in recent years being the brainchild behind youth music charity Sound Progression and becoming a prolific producer with releases on DJ Spen’s Quantize Records.
Sister Sesh - this girl hasn’t looked back since making the move from Swansea to the Diff in recent times. Her love and passion for Disco and House has already seen her bag a play at Glastonbury and Big Love Festival his year, while securing a residency for Underground party promoters, Shake The Horse. This girl is on the rise.
Ross Anderson - since relocating from Wales to London, Ross his risen up the ladder in lightning fashion, becoming the weekly resident DJ and events booker for the much respected A:M Afterhours club nights. This will be Ross’ first ever homecoming gig, which i say is about bloody time! It’s a pleasure and an honour to have him finally play on home turf. Let’s go bro!
There’s no denying we’re living through unprecedented and testing times, which is even more of a good reason why we should be coming together, connecting and leaving the troubles of the world at the door for one night at least.
It’s also another reason I’m making sure the ticket price is just £5, so no one who truly is down for the music and party, has to miss out.
I promise you, we’re going to have an amazing time come October 12th.
I also want to give a special mention to Marc Heatley from Proper Design who came through with the artwork for the party. I love it! Definitely takes me back.
I look forward to seeing everyone on the dance floor!
The Tribe of ViBE!
