Solfest is a lovely, little festival, run for the people by the people. The whole experience was a joy, everyone was friendly, the prices for food & drink were more than reasonable but if you are on a tight budget, don't despair because you can take as much of your own food & drink into the main arena with you as you like (unlike most festivals)! Great for kids, hippies, families, ravers, grannies, punks...

Looking forward to next year when the event is apparently being re-born.Hoping it will have a lot more going on than this year.Been a shame seeing this terrific festival reduce down to its current state of affairs over the years.The best thing about it is the people attending and the organisers whole ethos.Just needs to get back some of the spectacle more vendors fire jugglers and the like.Very grateful for all the efforts made to keep it all going and wish the best for all next year.

we (partner, daughter and boyfriend), i sometimes suffer really bad back pain, it flared up on thursday evening, i could not make it beyond the main gate so made it back to the car, i asked for help at the main gate, in the parking field and at the ticket hut, to be told nothing could be done by them because they were traffic only, on friday i managed to somehow make it to the tent(90 minutes), i heard a good festival but couldn't make it out the tent, plus the security was very "police like", this was my 4th solfest and even if there are more, i won't be going, yours sadly, phill (poberrio).

Great place for kids plenty going on, and also for adults to unwind & chill. Lovely setting, parking and camping well set out. Good value for money.

Line up could have been better but enjoyed it all the same. Prices a bit lower than bigger festivals which tend to be a complete rip off. Would recommend Solfest.

The place/views you get from where ever you are at the festival are amazing which is an added bonus.The music is not all big popular bands but the quality is still up there and defo more interesting.The ale prices are cheaper than most festivals but food is as you would normally find them at events.The atmosphere is a proper family friendly one and defo recomend takin children.A real festival feel and not a corporate money making one.All in all a cracker.

I paid £138 for a weekend ticket + Campervan parking + car park use....but couldn’t attend. Hence the low star review.

Having been last year was able to compare the 2. This year you could tell had been done on a shoe string! There wasn't many trading stalls at all very poor shopping opportunities! Not alot of choice on the catering side, last year was lots of different cuisines. Missed the statues, decoration and signage at each marquee and along the ways. Think the bad publicity of it maybe not going ahead had done alot of damage. Maybe the 15th anniversary should be the last! But at the same time we need a local festival in the area! Not sure where you can go from here! But we still had a BRILLIANT time thank you!

Wildest is a fab little festival which Is great for families. Slight chance to the venue this year, but only over the road, so still set in a lovely location with stunning views... always boosted by bank holiday sunshine!
As it’s north Lakes, the wind can be a test for tests... all tents that survive at least 5 visits should get a Solfest-certified award!
Would be great to see a return to camping-by-the-car as it’s a fair trek with all the gear a family needs for Thurs-Mon.
Well worth putting in the diaries for next year and highly recommend.

This is a brilliant little family friendly festival. Great atmosphere, great music (lots of new discoveries) and well worth it. Highly recommended.
