:SPIRIT: is the newly opened bar situated where the old KUBA once stood in Crosby Street. Spread upon two floors, SPIRIT has taken away the old gaudy Cuban style and relifted it to become one of the best looking and stylish bars in Carlisle. Situated away from Botchergate it is the ideal place to come if you want to escape the vulture culture that the many bars in the town struggle to cope to escape from.
The aim of spirit is quite simple and is to give the discerning 25-40 crowd in Carlisle somewhere to come and socialise with other like minds. The music policy is so eclectic it will feature anything form 1960’s rock’n’roll to up to the minute dance and indie styles. However if it’s the cheesefest you want for night out I’m afraid this bar will disappoint you.
:SPIRIT: already plays host to a number of nights in the town with promoters wanting the freshest and friendliest venue for their shindigs, the biggest being LemonFactory which is the unrivalled best Indie night in Cumbria. Situated above Thyme & Place restaurant it is ideal for those after dinner drinks that comfortably soothe you into your night.
