The Sands Centre

This was everything a great panto should be, the actors and dancers were brilliant, the sets and lighting were superb and the comedy was audience inclusive, corny and occasionally risqué. The musicians were excellent, timing perfect, and the production was fast paced and flowed with no flat spots. 12/10 so far. BUT, and a very big BUT, all of the above was ruined by over zealous sound production. It should be loud, pantomime is loud, but this was rock concert, ear ringing almost heavy metal loud, so much so that past paced dialogue was lost in a distorted cacophony of volume. Senses struggled to keep up, This did spoil the whole production for me and my guests.
