Review of Comedy Night with Pat Monahan
First time at The Venue....Drinks reasonably priced compared to other similar places.
First comedian....not funny ...
Second comedian ...quite good
Patrick Monahan...hilarious...pity his spot wasn't longer though..

Review of Satine Noir\'s Weird World of Wonder
A fantastic show. Very well organised and the host Satine Noir made us all welcomed. All the acts were absolutely brilliant. Well worth the money. I hope to see another show from Satine Noir again xxx 10/10

Review of Comedy Night with Archie Kelly
Venue was bleak, barnlike ,cold and you could here the disco going on next door.
The support acts were dire.Mr Kelly didn't leave us with sore sides but there were flashes of humour and he has a good singing voice. He had to struggle against the giggles and chatter from a table of drunk females .Management should have been proactive and dealt with the situation.
Review of Graham Bonnet Band UK Tour
Amazing experience, talented band members.......
"The Marbles, Steve Vai, Johnnie Ray" were mentioned by Graham, surprised I was the only one who seemed to know who he was talking about !
It was very moving when he mentioned family members who have passed away, something we can all relate to......
Yes, I have grown up with the fabulous, powerful voice that is Graham Bonnet, he was awesome........
On a negative note, I was upset by the lack of support, for a legend that still is, judging by his performance.
The Venue was the perfect place to hold the "rehearsal" or "warm up" concert as it has a warm, intimate atmosphere..........
So "wake up" Carlisle, we claim the "big" bands never come to us, so the next time a "legend" does decide to visit our town, please support them !!
I for one was honoured to be in the company of a great talent......

Re;- Judge Jules' reply:- 8 March:- one final point
Hi., Reading what I said to Jules in my original message,I had omitted to mention something. And I am now going back to correct this, and point it out to him.I
omitted to inform him that last August Bank holiday Deejay Fatboy Slim (whom he must have met) did a Rare Club set at the the Venue.and that the woman
on the bar had told me that Fatboy had been in Cumbria for an outdoor event. But I had informed him about your Venue being very near the previous "Terminal
1" venue nearby "Which has changed hands".And reminded him that this was where I arranged his second Guest list in June 2007 (read the brief resume on
his weekly diary at www.judgejules.net/diary. Best Wishes James

Re Jules' reply dtd 8 March:- 16.09: He simply stated "Thanks for this. I hope you enjoy/enjoyed...Very Best Jules" (what he said on 25 Jan)
Hi., In my original message on 7 March,I said several paragraphs of detail of who was on the Comedy stage and what happened there last Friday night (6 March).
I also mentioned to him that I had tried to gain access to a similar night of comedy with Craig Charles of the KISS-FM Breakfast show in November 1992 (@ the
Railway Tavern,West Hampstead,NW6).But had insufficient funds on me.In a further carefully worded reply last night I said further things which seemed clear
about the 6 March-two days later.I also typed out several paragraphs of what Jon said in the News and Star dtd 21st February, and expressed best wishes for Him.

Hi,., This has occurred since I posted my own comment yesterday. But on forwarding the Detailed comment of what happened on the 6th March with the Audience, and Hosts Jon Lebbon,Randoplh Tempest etc,I did get a very favourable reply today from my Ex Radio one deejay friend Judge Jules on jules@judgejules.net NB Website address www.judgejules.net;-He kindly expressed "I hope you really enjoyed it" Very Best Jules.I do find it rather remarkable that this friendship still survives after more than 20 years.I am now going to carefully reply, with a view to Prospects for Jon.I shall be as positive as I can inc "Quoting from the New and Star" paper, pages 22-23.I can also drop a copy of the reply from Jules into the venue. JON LEBBON (Lad):- COMEDY HOST;- INC INTERACTION WITH THE AUDIENCE ON THE ROVING MIKE
Hi., I had a Hunch,as soon as I saw how small and compact the venue was, that it would involve Interaction with the audience. And that was something I quietly wanted.Since I have never forgotten the various such occasions at the London clubs and outside Radio broadcasts in the Early-mid 1990s.I got a real Buzz when Jon found out that I had never been to one these before. And immediately said I should be a "Cheerleader"-nice considerate one Jon! It just so happened that the subject of Lorry truckers came up during Randolph Tempest's skit. And I had deliberately worn the AW.Jenkinson jacket-in case! I wish Jon every Hope for his career! James
