Review of Chester Christmas Food & Drink Festival
Lacking many stalls for a city Christmas fair. The weather was terrible which can't be helped but the venue was terrible choice knowing what the weather can be like this time of year. Absolute wind tunnel. Venders also not happy but couldn't blame them at all. We had a 2 and half slot but didn't stay for 20 minutes. Entrance not clearly marked if not coming by train. Ticket wasn't checked on arrival so just walked in. Would not return unless huge improvements.

Only stayed about 10 minutes highly dissppointed. More impressed with the free makers markets over this. We had a 2 year old and the play bus wasn't even open so left with a very unhappy little boy

There was no music on at the time i arrived, there were just a few stalls with beers etc and food, a few odd stalls selling items but not what was advertised, quite poor, i walked in and looked around and then walked out.
very little seating too

Review of Chester Christmas Food & Drink Festival
Absolute rubbish. It was not what I would call a food and drink festival at all. Our tickets weren't checked so no actual need to pay. We weren't the only ones complaining. Don't think we were there more than 40 minutes.

Was shocked at the lack of xmas stalls. We came in walked around and left within 5 mi utes. Nothing tnere except a handful of food and drink stalls. Made to sound much more impressive than it was...

Review of Chester Christmas Food & Drink Festival
The event wasn’t very busy at all which is a shame, I guess the weather put people off. The artist we saw was good but it wasn’t Christmas music so didn’t feel very festive. £4.50 for a tiny paper cup of mulled wine is a joke. We left after 20 minutes.

Whilst we can’t help the weatherr, it was so much smaller than we had imagined. Took about 4 minutes to walk around. I paid for 4 adult tickets and took 5 under 13’s - personally thought £3 per adult was ok until I got there. A family member had a stall - paid £60 for their space - overpriced - complete waste of money. All round huge let down. Expected so much more. Food, drinks and stalls massively overpriced. We were all looking forward to a lovely Christmassy few hours out and got the polar opposite to that sadly.

Very disappointed, didn't realise that there would be so few stalls, definitely the wrong place to hold an outdoor festival in December. It took us five minutes to cover the whole area, and at 11.30, some stalls were still setting up, whilst others didn't have any one manning them. Think we'll stick to Nantwich food and drink festival next year.

Review of Chester Christmas Food & Drink Festival
We bought tickets for this as we were staying in Chester for the weekend. What an absolute waste of time and how they can charge for entry is beyond belief! Hardly anything there - stalls - food stalls - bar - less than a quarter of the size of the FREE Chester Christmas Markets. Our tickets were for 11.30-2 arrived at 12 left at five past. Thought there would have been some form of entertainment on that would perhaps have made us stay longer but nothing when we were there. Someone is making money out of ripping people off charging for entry.

Review of Chester Christmas Food & Drink Festival
Was given a timed slot and an email telling me what time I had to leave. I left in 5 minutes. No idea what I paid for. It was a poor day in terms of weather but surely the organisers know its a christmas event. Too small, nothing set up. things not open. Not as advertised on images. I have complained to Chester Tourism that this event should not be promoted, it gives Chester a poor name. If it had been free you would have had less complaints. I did complain and returned to get my money back. That is not the point. The summer makers markets are really brilliant and whoever organised this needs to go to one to see what we are expecting.

Stayed less than 15mins. Not what I expected...wad not worth the entry price paid....sorry. Felt sorry for the stall holders who had out a lot of time and effort in to making goods to sell.

Review of Chester Christmas Food & Drink Festival
This was one of the worst events I have been to! Only a few stalls, music wasn't set up. Why we had timed slots I don't know we spent 5 minutes saw and stopped at most stalls and left. It was before noon so not ready to have a plate of food thought there would be tastings. We were kept waiting in the cold and rain for 10 minutes as other than 3 security guys there was no card reader until 11.45We had to ask to be let in undercover.
I left home at 9am to travel by bus so I could enjoy myself.
Felt like throwing myself under the bus taking me back to the bus station and home, couldn't be bothered going into the lovely Chester!!! Would hate to win a ticket to another event out on by this shower!

Review of Chester Christmas Food & Drink Festival
We will very disappointed to say the least. Nothing was set up when we arrived, the food stalls were expensive and very few alternative stalls. Expected a few more Christmas craft related stalls. No atmosphere, not sure what we were paying for. Many people said the same thing.
