I had a good night, acts were fun, atmosphere was great. Host was fantastic, he stole the show!! However, I had a certain expectation when booking the event (going off the price of the tickets) and unfortunately it did not meet my expectations.
I felt like the setup was cheaply done. I’ve been to other events in the floral pavilion, the Gladstone theatre and other venues where the ticket prices were less but my expectations were met and overall I was singing the events praises since after. Because the stage was at the same level as the seats, we couldn’t see some of the performance of some of the acts which was a shame.
The drinks also were overpriced. So overall, I felt I didn’t get good value for money which I think is the most important take away every attendees considers after any sort of event. But overall I had a good night.

I was not too sure what to expect when I booked the ticket, so I went along with some friends with no expectations. I came away having had a really fun night.
The compère was really great, he was funny, blue and risqué in equal measure which set the tone and he kept everything upbeat. There was a well chosen mix of a singer and dancers with some disco classic songs and varied burlesque performances throughout.
I had no idea how much acting and role play could be squeezed into a striptease by a variety of different characters!?
The audience also played a big part too with the dancing, sing alongs and in their choices of varied outfits worn on the night.
It was a great night out and I’d definitely recommend it and would go to another.

We have been to this event for 3 years now and the acts have been fantastic but this time we were disappointed. It was boring and very repetitive the acts were all the same.
It was just a burlesque show really. Which is ok but when it’s all night it gets a bit tiring.
I would hope it improves for next time

Review of Halloween Burlesque Cabaret
Stage was really low ,so even fourth row from the front it was really hard to see ,and there was only two true burlesque act , we had poor comedians twice ,and other acts that were not burlesque.
However the two that were ,from what we could see ,were brilliant.

Fantastic night with lots of variety to see. Even the audience made it an event with everyone dressing for the occasion. Everyone was so friendly and staff amazing. You will see us again. X.

Overall we love theses shows at St Mary’s but the acts were disappointing this time. Just too much of the same thing could have done with more variety.
