The grandchildren were rushed through even though no one was wating and the presents were awful ... both ages very tacky and could have been bought for £1-£2  very disappointed

Review of Astley Santa's Grotto

I booked for 4 children but only had the time allocated for one child so it felt quite rushed . . The Father Christmas, which we have seen many times before is absolutely fantastic, he is so, so lovely, I would go just for my grandchildren to see him again . . The venue staff were mostly lovely with just a couple not as much, we were allied to look around the hall which is beautiful but not very interesting to my grandchildren who are too young to appreciate the hall . . Would I visit again, maybe . .

We went last year and the children had chance to play with some toys, sing songs and listen to a story before Santa came in. This year it was more expensive and none of the extras were included, just popping in to see Santa for 2 mins! It wasn't as good an experience as last year.

We have been here for the last 9 Christmas' we love it. Although this year we sadly felt that christmas was a second thought. Previous years we have been in to story telling rooms and the house has been all magical. This year was through a side door into a staffroom storage and straight into santa, who was lovely and played the part well. Out of all the christmas' we felt this was our least favoured experience. Although the kids loved it, the fairy tale trail was ok and extended the visit but didn't feel  christmassy.  We will be back again next year and have a feeling it may be our last sadly, let's hope it is the best yet!

Great visit to see Santa and then the added bonus of looking around Astely Hall. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed looking in all the rooms and seeing the traditional tale themes set up. It was a fantastic experience to celebrate not only the magic of Christmas but also Astley Hall celebrating 100 years. Thank you for the special memories, we will certainly come back soon.

What a fantastic experience for the little one, although only in with Santa for a few minutes getting to explore the hall and look for the fairytale characters was fantastic. Will visit again next year.
