Review of Meridian Rocks 2024
After paying £56 for the vip area, to find when we first arrived that the fence was covered with black cloth leaving no view. People had to remove it. It looked more like we were in a cage than a as advertised exclusive area.
There was no access as advertised to the stage area, and you was further away from the stage then standard prices, With the arena customers having better views.
We could hear the music from the fair rides over the acts at some points. There was no draught beer, just cans !
All in all, a rather poor day out.

Booked vip as last year and advertised bar was to small one person serving . No golden circle as advertised waste of money been vip toilets ok up to about 9 then was a mess no toilet paper shame as it was a great experience last year

A completely different set up in the VIP area compared to last year. It was very disappointing in comparison. Other than better toilets, I don't really know what we paid extra for. No DJ!, the bar and how the area looked wasn't up to the same standard as before. Also, people could see straight into the area, so it wasn't private.
Last year we had access to the front section of the crowd to watch bands too. This had gone.
The bands were all great. Atmosphere was amazing. Didn't think there was a need for someone to talk to the crowd as much over the mic. Made it feel like a kids party. Also dance songs in-between bands? At a rock fest?
We would return next year but won't be getting VIP again. Not worth the extra. Our expectations are lowered too.

The sound quality was awful, space wasn't great too close to rides which you could hear the music from them over the artist playing. Poor experience all round and left after an hour. Wouldn't return even if it was a free event.
