About

Ghost Hunt (Hunts) :Saturday 22nd November Guys Cliffe House Warwickshire 8pm-3am 08432892392 07920133707 Website Prestige Paranormal Events This place is and absolutle gem. If you want caves, achapel, a house, a creepy cellar all rolled into one ghost hunt, then look no further, as this place has them all! This location is for the brave of heart. It's foreboding atmosphere in the caves is one sure to test even the harshest sceptic. Crowleys Revenge - Why do Prestige call it that? We do think that one reason is because is that anyone that does not take Guys Cliffe Seriously, or Aliester himself will be subjected to his wrath. A previous guest was very jovial about it all and he was pushed down 6 steps into the game larder. On investigating the k2's with yes no answers confirmed it was indeed Aliester Crowley and because of his notiriety, when everyone called there name to who he didnt like the most, the k2's stayed on green until the chap that got pushed said his name and they went to red. So if you visit....You have been warned! The history dates back to Roman times when they used to use the site for worship of 'Mithras' the sun god, but one of its first historical mentions is in the 6th century when the Bishop of Warwick founded a small Oratory(public speaking) dedicated to St. Mary Magdalene facing east upon the place where the present chapel of Guys Cliffe now stands. Over the next 1000 years the local gentry including Earls and King Henry V noticed the importance of the chapel and even wanted to rebuild it when it was in disrepair. When Henry VIII came into power he organised the Dissolution of the monasteries and the monks were asked to leave the chapel, so the site passed into private ownership. In 1751 Samuel Greathead, a West Indian merchant and member of parliament for Coventry purchased the site and built the mansion which stands now today. In 1947 there was a lack of interest in the site and it was sold to private investors with the intention of converting it into a hotel, but the plans was never carried out and the house fell into disrepair. In 1955 the house was purchased by Aldwyn Porter, the chapel was leased out of Freemasons. The roof had fallen in by 1966. 1992 the site was used for filming The Adventure of Sherlock Homes (The Last Vampyre) a fire scene got out of control and really damaged the building leading to an insurance claim. English heritage gave the building a grade II listed status. On moonlit and windless nights you may hear the sounds of bells. This is said that what you hear is the phantom precession of the King's lovers Piers Gaveston's execution. There a reported sightings of a woman who haunts the avenues and garden. When after WWII the site had become neglected and overgrown with foliage, there was many witnesses to paranormal activity with feelings of foreboding, to drops in temperature. There is a black figure that has been seen and is felt as an 'evil' presence and affects women who visit. The chapel is said to be very haunted. Our experience was had taps on command in the chapel and you really felt like you was not alone. Plus the fact some spirit had bolted the door on Sam's vigil and we struggled to get out! The Chapel is home to Old Cloggs a scribe and also Abraham a Preist who does not like Women in there. Footsteps and scraping is heard. There is a cave situated at Guys House and the chamber has been a paranormal hot-spot. It is completely pitch black and really has this terrifying atmosphere about it. Lights have been seen, and negative energies felt. A guest of ours captured someone yelling in the caves to leave, but everyone in the investigation including the guest was totally oblivious to the noise and carried on as usual. We had a partial apparition in the coach house by a spirit called Jacob, and also Knights Templars guard the coiffer which is in there, and make taps when you talk about it.The cellar is home to a rapist Johnathan, who had poked our medium Sam's friend in the eye and also whispered in Sam's ear and stroked her neck. We also had Aleister crowley on the ouija board here. There was footsteps in the corridor above the game larder, which was further confirmed as a french soldier who has got a peg leg. On the March ghost hunt 2012 one lady saw her first full apparition in the tunnel of the french soldier and she noticed his 3 pointed tricorn hat. October 2013 ghost hunt: Saw signs from Aliester Crowley again, when he spoke on the ovilus M. He said his name was Edward, which was his birth name. One medium guest could feel his presence behind her and she became very frightened, not liking energy the entity was giving off. The k2 meters also flashed again, and the French Soldier who was seen on the last visit came through and his ghostly shadow was seen and detected by the shadow meter in the doorway. Our June 2014 ghost hunt: Had a boxer from world war one called George on the ovlilus, and Edward a young boy. Shadows were seen and detected by the shadow meter and the chair moved again in the restricted area. In the chapel, Aliester Crowley came through during a table tipping session, and it resulted in us asking him questions and him wobbling the table, without our hands being on it! Your event will include * Access to the following areas: Coach House, Harris's Cave (weather permitting), Guys Cave, World war two rooms and the kitchen, Cellar, restricted area of the house and its game larder, great hall, Guys Chapel, locker room, conference room above the chapel, middle section room, upper room (to which we call a praying room/ chapel office) and room infront of the bell tower. * An overnight investigation with the Prestige Paranormal investigation team * Welcome meeting * Refreshments and snacks during the night- which includes, tea coffee juices, hot chocolate, flapjacks, brownies, muffins, chocolate bars and sausage rolls. * Mediumship /Historical walkaround * Mediumship vigil- Dowsing rods, pendulums, psychometry experiments, singapore experiment using music/sounds from days gone by. * Victoriana vigil- Ouija Board (optional) glass divination, table tipping. * Equipment vigil - emf (k2) meters, laser thermometers, laser grid pens, motion sensors, super hearing enhancers, franks box, light intensity meter. * Lone vigil is allowed here * Group vigil, If no lone vigil is allowed, we will hold a mass group vigil at the end.
