Review of Warwick Thai Festival

Great venue. Plenty of parking , lots of room for all the stalls and the entertainment, good food . Good value

We had a great time at the festival. A bit pricey for drinks at the bar but the food stalls had some amazing stuff. The entertainment was really good and the Ladyboy show was amazing.
Not that much to entertain the kids but they all seemed to be enjoying themselves anyway. Atmosphere was really good everyone was friendly and relaxed. 
There was no ATM on site as it was out of order and could have done with more ladies toilets as there were the usual long queues.
I would definitely go again

The venue should have been in a semi-circle arrangement, with stage in centre and stalls on the left and right of the stage. This would enable us to view the programmes on the stage whilst we buy and enjoy food and drinks. The current arrangement was poor as we had to walk all the way to view the wonderful programmes. The queues for food was long and we could not enjoy the music and dance fully...

Most food was ruined due to a lack of immediate seating, and the fact that all components were placed in one poly box allowing sauces etc to be absorbed into the rest of the food making one congealed disappointment. 
Mango served with sticky rice became sticky rice soaked in coconut milk.
A beef curry became dry pieces of beef with the curry sauce soaked into the rice.
The components of these dishes are supposed to be served separately - not in one blob!
£4 for a small chilled  'flesh' coconut where the flesh was hard - very expensive for such poor quality produce.  Shipping to the UK is of course expensive but £4 for an item sold on the streets of Bangkok for 50p is more than enough mark-up, especially for an over ripe, hardened coconut, really only suitable for grating and cooking.
There should be suitable seating next to stalls selling food so people can sit down and eat food - as it should be eaten, and not thrown together in a plastic tub crammed with everything.
50% of this venue was based on food, unfortunately,  it was difficult to enjoy the food once bought. People with kids and dogs on a lead find it very difficult standing up trying to eat out of a tub with one hand. 
A pleasant day out but spoilt by the above, so would I go next year? Doubtful! Maybe go on the Sunday but only if those who go Saturday tell me there is a lot more tables and chairs. If not, then I will give Sunday a miss too.
