Review of Fireworks Extravaganza

A complete con. £8 a ticket for an extremely poor fireworks display, seen much better put on by the local council for free. Advertised as having a 'fun' fair - 3 rides chargeable at £2:50 a go, would have expected rides to be included, or at least subsidized by the ticket cost. Instead parents were getting ripped off even further. Many crying children around probably disappointed that parents couldn't afford more than a single ride. PLUS parking was charged at £2. I'm still perplexed at what my tickets bought me. Shame on Mickleover Sports club - a complete con for families looking for a fun night out with the kids. 

Too crowded for the size of venue, especially with so many buggies and pushchairs. Long cues for everything. 30mins to go on bouncy castle!! Music way too loud during fireworks, couldn't hear yourself think. Won't be going again.

Overpriced. Rubbish fireworks and to many people. 

Lovely evening had by all but very difficult to get around with pushchair, better planning for entrance/exiting would help

Felt it was unfair that I was directed to by tickets from a middle at £7 each when I could have got them from a retailer at £6 each .
Only two good outlets meant we have to queue for 55 minutes just to get a burger ..
Tannoy system was poor in certain areas  so couldn't here a thing .

Over priced , over crowed for the amount of facilities  and will not be recommending in the future.

The fireworks were brilliant, I would pay to see again but the tiny space for people before the fireworks was horrific, a real health and safety hazard. You could not move as so many people were crammed in and lots of small children. The firework area was great and safe, food good prices but had to wait 7n a question for 25 mins! 

The fireworks were really good, however the space the ‘fair’ was in was far to small for the amount of people there and also not managed properly. The inflatable that was present was not managed at all and ended in many children (mine included!) coming off I tears as there was far to many children let on at once and they just got jumped on and hurt! I will never return to this event for my child’s safety and my sanity!

Over priced and a mediocre display.... no where near anything like the Markeaton display as suggested on the adverts. Overall, crap. 

Great fireworks display, fair prices. Nice night. 


Brilliant event, brilliantly put together and run.
Would recommend!
