first charger they gave me only charged 15%, no facility to pay by card, easily rippable paper wrist bands and no one on any of the stalls had a clue what was going on, kept getting sent all over the show, ended up chucking it away and writing off the tenner deposit off

Review of Chargecandy at Download Festival
was a good event and definitely be coming back. would be nice to a) have a booklet on opening times of things e.g.showers/where to buy soapstar bracelets & b)more drinking water points - i understand you want us to buy stuff but £2 for a bottle of water or having to walk ages to get some is a bit ridiculous. water should be free

Review of Chargecandy at Download Festival
Everything at Download festival was brilliant apart from Chargecandy. The staff were rude and unhelpful and was a complete and utter waste of time and money. When I booked Chargecandy it didn't mention once that I needed to bring my own charger cable and they didn't have one to fit my phone so had no phone for most of the festival. Fortunately my girlfriend used the charger but even then it was flat before her phone was even 50% charged. Apparently when I first went to pick up a charger I should have been given a wristband but wasn't and this caused an issue when I tried to swap the cell. I was told to spend another £20 to hire a charger for the day and a very unhelpful member of staff simply shrugged his shoulders and said it wasn't his problem. My advice would be to avoid Chargecandy like the plague and use any other phone charging service as these were cheaper anyway!
