Review of Chargecandy at Download Festival
I've been to download 5 times and used charge candy every time. I have never once had an issue with the chargers or returning them, until this year. I barely got 30% charge out of any of the chargers this year even when charging with my phone off.. I thought maybe it was my phone until I tried another phone with the next charger and got the same result. The cherry on top was being refused my deposit back because and I quote "We can't refund deposits because we can't provide paper receipts'. Thanks for the dodgy chargers and thanks for ripping us off and leaving us stuck with one.

Really disappointed with the service. Pre-paid for a charger for each day at download festival, staff were friendly enough to begin with however I didn’t get a single full charge out of any of the packs given. I got a maximum 55-60% charge from any of the packs. When returning the last pack, with the festival being cashless the £10 deposit is given back through the card machines, I’m yet to receive even a pending transaction of my return deposit… when I went to ask the staff member for a receipt or confirmation the payment had been processed they had turned their back to me talking to another staff member, the music was that loud in the booth it felt impossible to get their attention (I understand it is a music festival but to hear your customers might be some use)… so I gave up! Using the website I had contacted the customer services WhatsApp number to notify my issue of not receiving a refund and am yet to be acknowledged, all in all really disappointed with both the product and the customer service on return. Would not recommend for a multi day festival, may be more use for a one day outing as a last resort but make sure you get your deposit back!!! 100% will not use this company again 👎🏻

Download festival was excellent, but the chargecandy charges were very poor. Was given 2 chargers with less than full charge and even the chargers with full charge could barely maintain battery level whilst using the phone and only charge phone to 50% if unused.
Claim to be for a heavy phone user but couldnt keep up with low usage.

The power banks didn't even give 20% battery, I was given a blue one each day until the last day where I was given a white one which actually charged my phone around 70% waste of money and the stall wasn't open when I went to return it on the morning.

Download festival was great, but charge candy was a bit of a rip off… not convinced the 5000mAh batteries are what they say they are, left it charging a pixel 7 pro overnight and got a whopping 5% charge out of it. When trying to return it the payment system went down and we had to walk the half mile over to the other one which was also having issues.

Chargers didn’t work barley got 40% out of them (wasn’t using the phone while charging) felt like it was look of the draw cause I only got 1 good charger all weekend… buy a decent portable charger and take that it will be better
