Shipley Country Park offers 600 acres of attractive, varied countryside and has been awarded Green Flag status each year since 2008. The park has more than 20 miles of footpaths and bridleways, a visitor centre, gift shop, cafe, three play areas and access for all facilities including tramper hire and a Changing Places toilet. Opening times: April-October - 9.30am-4.30pm, . November-March - 10am-4pm.
Directions: the park is well signposted from Heanor and junction 26 of the M1.
