Our gig night, every other month at The Hairy Dog brings fresh music to Derby's best venue. Gigs run 6pm til 9pm - there's not a lot else to do on a Sunday except eat good dinner, have a nap, pop to a gig, and still get home early cos it's a school night, right?

Confyde
Confyde is a rock project led by genre-bending alchemist Martin Jackson, combining a melodic hard rock style with as many other styles as he can twist and bend to his will. The end resultis a bastard child of the catchy, emotive gutpunches of Nothing More, the wild intensity of System of a Down and the eclectic ambition of Porcupine Tree.

From the nasty metal riffage of latest single Scalper to the bouncy reggae shimmer of Man Down, all these songs are held together by infectious hooks and Jackson’s unmistakable soaring vocals. Subverting not just the expectations on rock songwriting but the systems and conventions that leave people disempowered, Confyde’s live show is a rollercoaster of emotion and hasgarnered an audience invested in each song’s resonant messages and excited for the unexpected.

In 2024 Confyde is currently embarking on the Scalping The UK tour throughout Spring and Summer, including a main stage appearance at Northants Rocks festival, and is excited to hit more UK venues towards the end of the year and making plans for 2025, with more new music coming soon!

Alice for Breakfast are here to serve you a supersize bowl of alternative pop-rock with a side of emo drizzled in ska, disco, prog and whatever else was in the cupboard. Think of them as your favourite meal gone slightly off-recipe – a bit
divergent and occasionally spicy but always piping hot. They are definitely not gourmet but promise an unforgettable musical fry-up that'll leave you wondering…
