Our gig night, every other month at The Hairy Dog brings fresh music to Derby's best venue. Gigs run 6pm til 9pm - there's not a lot else to do on a Sunday except eat good dinner, have a nap, pop to a gig, and still get home early cos it's a school night, right?

What does it feel like to be one of society’s rejects? We all fall down from time to time and it’s important to pick ourselves up again. We must first own that rejection, accept it and then understand that it is fine to be your own true self.
MUDDIBROOKE express themselves clearly by owning their past and the angst of identity and giving the message of self-acceptance, being your own person and to wear that proudly. Their music explores living through the challenges of life; those moments that make you feel a bit crazy and question your reasoning.

Amongst Liars
A tight powerhouse of a band; urgent, questioning, loud and fierce. Together they play heavy and direct modern rock’n’roll: massive riffs and powerful, melodic choruses, fuzzy guitar, pummelling drums and bass, pin-balling between heavy alternative rock, grunge and punk. They also have a lyricist who can’t help but use his band as a platform to air anxieties and raise questions about the world we live in.

Hex Poseur
Hex Poseur is a garage rock artist from the UK, inspired by artists such as PJ Harvey, QOTSA and the White Stripes. She also takes much influence from punk rock, in attitude and lyrical content, old and new UK punk, as well as the Riot Grrrl movement of the 90s and sludge and stoner metal. She performs as a three-piece band, with her bassist Holly Osborne and drummer Jacob Wakeling.
