BANG featuring Something Orange, Joey Collins and Roz Bruce

Our gig night, every other month at The Hairy Dog brings fresh music to Derby's best venue. Gigs run 6pm til 9pm - there's not a lot else to do on a Sunday except eat good dinner, have a nap, pop to a gig, and still get home early cos it's a school night, right?

Known for their genre-defying experimental rock Something Orange's music is filled with existential dread, philosophy, vulnerability which is turned into big riffs, catchy choruses and atmospheric noodling. 

Hailing from the vibrant city of Nottingham, Joey Collins is a multifaceted artist — a singer-songwriter and a producer with a genre-fluid sound, though often leaning in the direction of the alternative rock bracket. Collins weaves introspective thoughts and emotive soundscapes, combining powerful arrangements with strikingly personal lyrics that resonate deeply with listeners. 

The Roz Bruce Infusion are an exciting 3-piece from The Midlands who infuse genres and utilise concepts to create unique and interesting, alternative/psychedelic music. They've performed since 2011 at gigs and festivals all around the UK and have supported bands including Gong, Focus, The Blockheads, and Arthur Brown. The Roz Bruce Infusion are currently recording their fifth album. 

All bands are on a door split so they get a fair share of ticket sales - we take our expenses out AFTER bands have had their share. By supporting these gigs you are genuinely directly supporting bands. Of course as standard, unlike bigger venues neither us nor The Hairy Dog take commission from any merch sales.
