Ten Eighty Trees
Tyneside’s alt-rock trio, Ten Eighty Trees, are taking the UK music scene by storm with their colossal, riff-heavy sound that promises to get your pulse racing. Clad in vibrant turquoise, the band is on a mission to deliver anthemic rock experiences that resonate with fans old and new.
Since their inception, Ten Eighty Trees have been electrifying audiences across the UK, performing sold-out headline shows in their hometown at Newcastle’s Bobiks, Little Buildings, and Cumberland Arms. The band has shared stages with esteemed acts such as We Are Scientists and Sundara Karma at prominent venues including Riverside and Newcastle University, solidifying their reputation as a force to be reckoned with in the alt-rock genre.
Festival-goers have also been treated to their frenetic energy at renowned events like Sunderland Waves Festival, Stockton Calling, Generator Live, and Tramlines Fringe. With each performance, Ten Eighty Trees captivates audiences, showcasing their signature sound and infectious energy.
In early 2023, the band released their debut EP, “Maybe I Like the Misery,” to critical acclaim across the region. The standout tracks “Little Sparks” and “Brand New Skin” have garnered attention, with “Little Sparks” being highlighted by Tom Robinson on his BBC 6 Music Introducing Mixtape. Following the EP’s successful launch, Ten Eighty Trees embarked on their first-ever UK tour in October 2023, bringing their dynamic sound to fans nationwide.
Combining dense melodies with distorted riffs, Ten Eighty Trees are poised to make waves in the alternative rock scene in 2025. Their unique blend of anthemic rock is not just about the music; it's an experience that invites audiences to lose themselves in the moment.
SUNMACHINE
SUNMACHINE are a Heavy and Vibey Rock band based in Cambridge, UK. They mix their modern influences with the classic and heavy music they grew up with to create a unique sub-genre of their own.
The band began in 2023, with their debut single and music video ‘Who’s It Gonna Be’. This was an encouraging start for the band, gaining a small following and the attention of Total Rock and Emerging Rock Band Radio.
Later the same year, the band released their second single ‘SPINE’. This elevated them in the UK Rock scene, with publications like The Metal Asylum saying, ‘The band have come up with a sound that is almost impossible to define’ and Lost In The Manor saying ‘This is what a heavy rock song ought to sound like’. SPINE has gone on to become a staple of the band’s live shows.
At this point the band decided to double down on the music they loved, and on September 27th, 2023, they released their debut album ‘The Nova Effect’. The album gained attention of radio stations and publications like Total Rock Radio, Rock Rage Radio, Track of The Week - Radio Wigwam, Metal Asylum and many more. It also got them their first music award nomination ‘Best Hard Rock Act – Radio Wigwam Awards 2024’.
In the year that followed, SUNMACHINE used the small amount of notoriety they gained from their successful first year as a band to play shows all over the UK. Including, The Junction (Cambridge), The Shed (Leicester), The Acoustic Couch (Bracknell), MK11 (Milton Keynes), The Dublin Castle (London) and many more. The response was overwhelmingly positive, and their fan base slowly grew.
Now that a year has passed since SUNMACHINE released The Nova Effect, the band has established themselves in a small way as a UK touring band and a small fan base has formed. It is time for the band to release new music. The melancholic, heart break anthem ‘Mercy Killing’ will be released on October 18th, 2024. The band have worked tirelessly to provide the music they love making to the people they are so grateful to for making it possible. There are a lot of surprises, shows and good times ahead.
