About

The Beginning of "The Indie Night" Live Bands Night

Hours of live music!

On Friday the 22nd of March 2024 at the Hairy Dog, Derby we bring you five huge Indie bands ready for you to dance the night away too.

We are determined to showcase some of the best up and coming bands currently on the scene and our first event in Derby is set to do just that. So if you're passionate about new music and thrive from live music then "The Indie Night" is certainly for you.

Our first events showcases the following bands

1. Girls Drink Pints

‘With songs that feel like new socks and hot chocolate, these Geordie boys are down to clown at the drop of a hat.

Their debut track ‘Can Rebecca Come Round’ resonated in the hearts of all who wanted to date someone called Rebecca - These boys will absolutely bring the energy just go listen to their tracks which are available on most streaming services. The Indie Nights surprise package!!!

2. Harri Larkin - fresh from playing huge summer sets at Tramlines and having their entire catalogue played by BBC introducing we are absolutely delighted to bring you this truly mesmerising Sheffield band. Having supported Reverend and the Makers and played all major Sheffield venues you really don't want to miss Harri and her band. These are going places and quickly....."

One of my favorite new bands in the region" - Christian Carlisle, BBC introducing & Kerrang Radio

3. Cruz - a four piece indie rock band from Sheffield. Having already sold out their first headline show in December dates and fresh from supporting The View, "The Indie Night" gives you another opportunity to watch these boys rock the stage! Performing all their singles including Make it Right, Life of Misery, Take Off The Pressure and brand new EP "If not now, when?". Cruz are on a steep incline, so if you missed out on their headline gig next month and failed to catch them at YNOT Festival then make sure you get tickets for their Derby performance fast..

4. Idle Noise - Coventry rock quartet Idle Noise now confirmed for the first "The Indie Night" live bands event.  Following a recent bout of successful singles and support slots with the likes of The Libertines, and Johnny Borrell (Razorlight) we are over the moon to have secured Idle Noise to perform live for you!

Straight from a hectic summer schedule and described as Anthemic and soaring, Idle Noise smashed it this summer. These guys echo early 2000’s bands such as Editors and The Enemy, but with a modern lyrical twist that Paul Weller would be proud of.

5. The Pretty Ugly - Just when you thought it couldn't get any better.... The Pretty Ugly complete our line up. With 10k monthly listeners on Spotify alone we're still pinching ourselves we've secured this 3 piece alt rock Yorkshire band.

The 80s obsessed Indie rockers, once described as looking like they 'met at a bus stop' aren't your average alternative group. A unique blend of Alt rock and past decade nostalgia breathe a new breath of life into the 20s that comes just as unexpected as it is needed.

Go stream their latest single "Elvis" and then come back and buy tickets to watch them perform this catchy number live!

"With soaring harmonies and catchy melodies these guys have done something really special with that 80s throw back trend that has been going around" (Christan Carlisle - BBC introducing DJ Sheffield)

If this isn't enough by buying tickets your directly donating to our amazing charity EMBRACE - who support child victims of crime!

If you have an excuse not to come please let us know.

BEWARE With 10% of tickets already sold before we even announced the bands  THIS EVENT WILL SELL OUT.

Don't delay secure your tickets until now
