The Photo Parlour (Traditional Photographic Darkroom)

The Photo Parlour is a traditional photographic darkroom and studio based in Derby, launched in April 2013 by Dan Wheeler. The Photo Parlour provides photographers with the space and the necessary facilities to produce work and develop new skills, as well as take part in a variety of workshops and exhibitions. http://www.photo-parlour.com As well as a professionally equipped darkroom and film developing facilities, the Photo Parlour offers a studio space with backdrops for analogue and digital photographers to hire plus a gallery space to display local photographer's work. Additionally, the Photo Parlour is home to a shop selling film, photographic paper and vintage cameras. The Photo Parlour's aim is to keep analogue photography and processes alive by offering equipment and facilities which are increasingly becoming rare, expensive and sought after, to all types of photographers. With a fixed annual membership, members can make use of all of our facilities and resources available, as well as benefit from being part of a thriving local community.
