Review of Jika Jika presents Sunday in the City w/ Sister Sledge
A fantastic night, much better than I expected. Already knew Mac Fleetwood would be great but Sister Sledge were awesome. Highlight was the crazy Derry folk up on stage dancing.... The venue was great, only complaint was the vastly overpriced cans of beer, the most expensive carry out I have ever had.

Review of Jika Jika presents Sunday in the City w/ Sister Sledge
I was disappointed when I saw that the venue had changed from Ebrington Square to the warehouse in Pennyburn. However, the event was extremely well organised. Plenty of toilets and the bar queues weren't long at all! Ended up having a really great night! Thank you for organising such a great event!

Review of Jika Jika presents Sunday in the City w/ Sister Sledge
The venue more for a rave than a live performance. The gig was originally to be at Ebrington square but was switched to the unit 8 Pennyburn. Sound was diabolic in the warehouse and the mics didnt work right, could only here muffulled vocals.

Review of Jika Jika presents Sunday in the City w/ Sister Sledge
Last minute change of venue from outdoor City centre location to disused warehouse on outskirts of the City with Claustrophobic overcrowded surroundings, uneven floor surfaces, trip hazards, no parking provisions and unsuitable access for wheelchair access. Mickey mouse setup and extortionate five pound charge for warm cans of beer or cider. I'd be surprised if this event was completely above board and I expect the last minute change of venue was said to be due to combination of poor ticket sales but I suspect the unprofessional set-up without proper statutory requirements such as insurance or emergency services in place impacted on the ridiculous decision to relocate to a sardine tin best suited for an illegal rave and a bit Cheeky the organisers didn't see fit to offer the option of a refund. On a positive the band Sister Sledge were great and crowd contributed to the atmosphere but Derry deserves better. This would have been a perfect Ebrington Square gig to finish off the Maritime Festival. These organisers better suited to hosting events for the teens who enjoy loud music in dark room and have less disposable income andor expectations.
