Review of Doncaster Hot Air Balloon Festival
Loved the balloon event kids loved it too. Once In the event the pricing was very expensive for rides food drink. Ok if you have 1 child not a family of 6. I'd of preferred like a wrist band where u pay once then can go on all rides. But still had fun regardless.

Fab day. The only down fall was fireworks was a bit disappointing. Other than that it was brilliant. So much to see. So much happening. Such a good price for a full day packed with entertainment. We will deffo be going again

So, it was a good day. Admission charge was good value, everything else pretty expensive once you were in. I appreciate there was a terrible accident that was upsetting to see, especially for those close to Jay, and this must have been horrible for everyone involved and not expected. It seemed to be dealt with well. Wishing him well.
The thing that stopped it being great was that the event was advertised as a hot air balloon event. I realise that weather has a massive effect on the flying of the balloons, but I feel what would have been helpful would have been to keep us informed along the way as to why the balloons couldn't fly. When a few did eventually fly it was whilst another event was happening and we were not aware, it was by chance we saw them as our attention was on the stunt show. If over by the balloons the information was being given then my suggestion would be to make sure it was heard around the whole event. We were informed more after the accident, but before that we didn't hear anything, if we knew why, it could have helped us to get over feeling frustrated and disappointed, saying that, no excuse for anyone to be abusive!!! The fireworks were ok, found it a little strange being low noise after listening to canons and artillery fire throughout the day though, so many people walked away when it started and I know how long the prep and set up takes for a display. We may come again next year if possible, hoping that more info is given. Thanks
