Review of Doncaster Hot Air Balloon Festival
The event had many amazing attractions but the one we had gone to see was the hot air balloons which unfortunately had a lot of problems . (We were there on the Friday Eve). .... I hope these were sorted out either later in the eve or the next day.
My main complaint was the high price of canned drinks.

Review of Doncaster Hot Air Balloon Festival
The prices were scandalous for the rides, food and drinks. We paid £21.50 to get in which was reasonable for a family of 4 ticket. The shows especially the saxons and vikings reenactment was very poor and we couldn't see from the fence as they did it all at one side behind a parked van! I would not go to this event again as I felt I paid to basically get into a overpriced fun fair

Review of Doncaster Hot Air Balloon Festival
Had a lovely time really! Could be massively improved. I thought we'd be able to have a look around some hot air balloon set ups, book hot air balloon rides, info about balloon clubs. It was more like a huge fair ground with some balloons taking off. We came on the saturday so we fully understand the weather restrictions. Not sure i can rate the music as there was just clubland music from the rides.

Review of Doncaster Hot Air Balloon Festival
Music was too loud it distorted the sound price for avent was good yet prices for food was disgusting and it was called balloon fiesta yet the balloon show was just the balloon baskets and getting out off the event from parking was just a joke men doing traffic management had no idea what they were doing with the stop and go signs

Review of Doncaster Hot Air Balloon Festival
The event was well planned, well organised, everyone was approachable, helpful and friendly. The logistics for the event must have been phenomenal. The parking areas were clearly signposted, the marshalls cheerfully directing everyone. A happy atmosphere and plenty to look at and enjoy. The security people were pleasant, vigilant without being intrusive, and the area felt safe with First Aid and Toilet areas easily located.
The Viking area was really interesting and provided a more peaceful haven for those of us who are a little more serious and not eager to try hair raising fairground rides.
The balloons were beautiful and the way they were spread across the arena meant that everyone could see all aspects of the balloon inflations and take off.
The young lad who compered the event in the balloon arena interacted with the people and was good at raising our enthusiasm.
The grass was nice and clean: no dogs mess or anything nasty.
I didn't see the stunts or Civil War reenactment because I needed to sit and rest, but they were obviously enjoyed by the young people. There were plenty of benches and a nice gazebo to give some shade.
I can't fault the event! I'll be coming back next year if it's on again!
