Review of Knockengorroch World Ceilidh 2017
This is frankly the most outrageously brilliant festival that I have ever been to. The location is extraordinary set in the remote Southern Uplands 5 miles from any roads which truly lends a feeling of being in another world. With the added combination of fantastic music and easy, friendly people this makes it unmissable. Furthermore it is one of the few festivals that I know that has dedicated areas for acoustic musicians to meet and collaborate - there is a traditional longhouse set next to the site where a genuine Gaelic settlement was located... The longhouse hosts acoustic gigs and all night jams / sessions as well as another acoustic tent next to a cafe which is given over to constant folk sessions. After 4 days in this place I felt like I never wanted to leave.

Review of Knockengorroch World Ceilidh 2017
Good music but not excellent. Could do with some different types of electronic music. Stages are a bit close which makes it impossible to be outside for too long due to competing bass lines from each tent. Price is fair but the location and atmosphere are top quality and magic. Will return for sure.

My first ever festival. I took my 3 children we all had a blast. It was a very friendly atmosphere with plenty of workshops that are included in the tick*t price to enjoy throughout the day. Only down side was the midges so make sure you pack the midges repellent and nets.

Review of Knockengorroch World Ceilidh 2017
Great, friendly festival. Small enough to meet the same faces, but lots going on. Only suggestions would be invest in a compost loo system, recycling and water IBC at the far end of the camping pitches! Very good music though, and lots of interesting workshops!

Absolutely amazing as ever! Shame about the drug searches on the way in, but no hassle from the police once you were inside...unlike other festivals that D&G Constabulary seemed determined to ruin. Long live Knockengorroch!
