Review of Monument Festival
We arrived at the campsite with our young grandchildren and found the portaloos to be full to overflowing, we spoke to the staff who apologised but said it was out of there control,
There was no way we where going to use them, so decided to leave the site and return home
We spoke to some of the other campers who had been into the arena and said it was disgusting with the main stages deep in stinking mud,

Headliner cancelled last minute, which was the only reason we were there. Their management team stated that the stage was unsuitable, which is the responsibility of the event's organisers to rectify or convince them otherwise

Didn't even end up going, was going to arrive for 4pm, for it to be announced that due to the state of the grounds, the headliner cancelled. Then seeing photos of the grounds and horror stories about the toilets it confirmed that I wasn't going, it wasn't accessible to someone with mobility issues. Will be getting a refund

£7.50 a pint Glastonbury prices without the entertainment. Delayed entrance into venue also Felt should have been informed on arrival that The Kooks cancelled. Toilets on campsite not cleaned from previous week's event. I don't mind mud it's all part of it but the ground needed some maintenance to prevent being so bad in certain areas. Boards appeared at entrance of tent late in afternoon which would have made a big difference if there first thing.

Review of Monument Festival
This year's layout was appalling. Two massive marquees instead of one and an outside stage. The main outside stage allows ALL TO SEE. The access for wheelchair users was non existing along with pushchairs. Disabled festival goers we're not catered for at all. The marquees we're hot and humid, steam coming up from the ground which did not help my asthma at all. Family festival goers could not access the music venue with chairs and picnics as they we're not catered for in those awful marquees. I arrived at 4pm and was home by 7.45pm
Big let down this year 😡😡😡

Terrible shambles of a festival. Profit over comfort and safety. Headliners the Kooks withdrew on the day as their management deemed the site unsafe. They were correct.
No attempt to repair the bad ground after a previous festival and rain.
Few toilets. Huge queues all day in bottleneck positions. Dirty with no soap and water on opening. Men's urinals were overflowing by 3pm and in view of a playground! Sheet eventually put up to screen this.
Camping chairs in tent and blocking exit from tent. Huge fire risk. If we had to get out of the tent quick we'd be dead.
Will not be returning. Unsafe shambles.
PS Bands that were there did their best with a stage running late and technical problems

Review of Monument Festival
Music was alright but getting worse every year. The toilets are a disgrace. It smelled terrible. If you are going to charge people those prices inside at least make it look like you are making an effort. Also is it true that, the reason we didn't have a main stage is because it was taken to a festival at Kent?

Review of Monument Festival
Incredibly muddy tents in festival - would suggest some covering for the grass - ask the stadium if you can use their covers.
Headliner bailing at the last minute - not your fault.
Otherwise it's a fabulous festival. Jesus Jones, Stereo MC and Ned's were amazing 🤩

Review of Monument Festival
Venue was terrible due the rain, much of the field was muddy, there didn't seem to be any attempt to manage this, some straw/sawdust would have helped. £7.50 a pint, £4.50 for a portion of chips.
The headline act didn't attend, we didn't know that until we were actually in the Venue.

Review of Monument Festival
A new local event in N.E. England, this was formerly part of Kubix Festival which has run for several years. Organisers did a marvellous job to stage this event and not deterred by the weather leading up to yesterday's show. Enjoyed watching a wide variety of acts, great atmosphere in both tents, long may this show continue 🙏
