Review of Disco Days Edinburgh
I came with my partner on Easter Saturday as had been recommended by a friend who loves dancing. We were very excited to be coming as feel it is a great idea, we are both in our 60s and still love a night out and dancing our socks off. I felt the music was too much of a similar beat and not going back enough to the 60s and 70s, there is so much brilliant popular dancing music from these times. I also felt it was a little loud and the music probably catering to people more in their 30s and 40s, which was a great shame. A little more mixed music would be better with different beats to vary it up. Great idea and we might chance coming again but not really what we were expecting it to be. Very friendly and nice atmosphere though, and I might have been able to take the volume if the music had been more my style! Also, for us, using the app to do a request was not going to happen, didn`t bring our phones and dont use apps!! You`re missing a trick if you don`t make it more inclusive of people in our age group as we are on the lookout for enjoyable nights out! But thank you Tropicana for having a go. One suggestion, to have a daytime with music of our times maybe 60s, 70s with a litlle bit of 80s but just a bit!! Thanks again. Barbara & Doug
