Review of Straighten Out - Stranglers Tribute
Used to go to the 'old dreadnought hotel' for my alternative nights music.
Went along to the stranglers tribute gig last night and it was 'bouncing'. Brilliant vibe 🤩 and some familiar faces from the old venue! It was like coming home! Welcoming and a real tonic for my weary soul 😮?'?
I'll defo be back, as a regular! 😺

Review of GYPSY PISTOLEROS plus support from BLITZ and ADAM & THE HELLCATS
What an incredibly awesome night this turned out to be. Kicking off with Adam & the Hellcats this six piece band from Bristol combine male and female vocals to powerfully immense effect. With intense energy and superb musicianship their catchy rock 'n' roll and punk infused songs were nothing short of a joy to behold and a band to watch.
Blitz are a 3 piece rock band from Nottingham who were slick, tight and very professional, showering the audience with an abundance of pure powerful rock 'n' roll tunes from start to finish.
Headliners Gypsy Pistoleros, our main reason for going, were, quite simply on another level. Their performance was blistering energetic, packed full of seriously impressive covers all perfectly balanced with their own written material. They were great fun and knew exactly how to please the crowd with banter and sublime musicianship. We went with no expectations, and had we had any, they would been blown out of the water plain and simple. A staggering tour de force from start to finish. An absolute blast and we will definitely see them again at the next opportunity.
A brilliant night at a fantastic venue, with great staff (door and bar), a select but appreciative audience, and three amazing bands.
