Gladstone’s Land is a high-rise tenement that spans nearly 500 years of history. The six rooms across two floors recreate the life of those who called it home, including a wealthy laird with a dark secret in the 1600s, a merchant shopkeeper, and the servants who did the dirty work. Gladstone’s Land was one of the 'world’s first skyscrapers' and showcases the turbulent life of a capital city bursting at the seams. Inside its walls await treasures such as an iconic Renaissance painted interior and countless stories of daily life, death, and drama.
