Sultry, saucy, but never salty, Dr. Salad’s heavy romance is what should be redefining alternative surf rock. The Dunbar boys mesh dancy guitars with heavenly voices both high and low, with Scott's sweet soprano vocals reminiscent of a lighter Growler’s front man, and Doug’s wanting but never needy baritone leaving the audience yearning. Respectfully horny, sexy and charming, charismatic and approachable, Dr Salad will riff to your heart’s desire, making you shake and quake in all the right places. Headbang, mosh, and sway clutching your own heavenly bosom all in the same gig. Belt out easily iconic lyrics, and be spellbound by how much sexual imagery can be contained in well-crafted rock music so masterfully.
racecar will be launching their latest single, Wolf. The new single follows an exciting few months for the band, who saw uplifting first single, Lay Me Down, described as "rather marvellous" by none other than BBC 6 Music’s Tom Robinson. With a fresh line up and brand new material, they are not to be missed. Plus, there are 8 of them, which will surely make for a good Halloween costume.
Crush Mouse's music is a playful mash of pop, rock, and hip-hop, with the personality of a Britney Spears CD misplaced inside a Limp Bizkit Jewel Case. Taking inspiration from the likes of Dorian Electra and 100 Gecs, varied, larger than life instrumentals set the backdrop for colourful, cartoonish, but relatable takes on being a flawed human. Crush Mouse is the brainchild of artist/producer Hugh Holton (they/them), making songs and videos in their messy Glasgow bedroom, for people to listen to in their messy bedrooms.
