Review of GoldCoast Oceanfest 2024
Haze tent had a lot of really good young musicians, but the main stage was very poor. The majority of the people there were under 25 and the headlining acts were relevant over 10 years ago. I have a very underwhelmed teenager who didn't bother turning up for the Sunday.

Review of GoldCoast Oceanfest 2024
We attended all 3 days and had a great time. The atmosphere and acts on Friday evening were great and we loved the high energy of the acts.
Saturday was good fun and James Bay sounded excellent. The day had a relaxed vibe and ideally we would have preferred an artist with livelier music to round off the day. Sunday was a super end to the festival- lots of artists we didn't know, but who sounded amazing. There was a great mix of music styles. Aswad were late and unimpressive. Josh Beer should've been on the main stage and Black Water County were exceptional.
The festival was well organised with a good mix of food, drinks, merchandise and other activities. Staff were exceptionally friendly, litter picking was really good and the whole area was super clean, including the loos. The only disappointment was traffic management at the end - traffic was incredibly slow to get moving as the roads were 2 way and very narrow. Perhaps a 1 way system should be put in place in future for a short time to enable traffic to exit more easily.

Fantastic weekend, great music, great atmosphere, only 1 complaint... had to wait in a very very long queue, over half an hour to get a beer, so definitely need another large beer tent as you don't want to be spending half your time queuing and missing the bands that you've come to see!

Too many drunk/drugged teenage groups everywhere. Quite intimidating. Not family friendly at all in my opinion. Only perhaps the Sunday but Friday and Saturday were terrible. Also toilets urinals for men on full show, young children / teenage girls watching you go toilet and being exposed to that level of nudity is simply not on. The urinals should be covered / fenced off.
