Review of Exeter Street Food Festival 2024
Excellent variety of food, it was great to try some really unique options like Chiki Monkey or the Afghan kitchen as opposed to the usual street food vibes (burgers or greek).
I think there should have been more tables available under cover which weren't made to be reserved. Especially with the rain, a lot of people struggled to eat and find a seat as a lot of tables had been reserved! Got a bit unlucky with the weather though there, as when it was sunny it was just lovely to sit on the grass.

Useless! It was advertised as an 11.00 opening. When I got there after travelling 20 miles, the place was locked shut and a council employee told me it opened at 2pm.
Your Web site said opening from 11.00.
I spent my money on an excellent Lebanese meal in Exeter.
Usless.

No gate check in. I paid for tickets, all walked in free
No table check in. I booked and paid for table slots. No free spaces people sat at table for free. Only one tent.bookimg gave impression food tent.
No map of event when booking. I hadn't realised no local produce, no live demos, just festival food.
Al in all a rip off! But the toilets and the band were good.

Very (!) expensive for a street food event!! less amount of food for a fortune of money. £10 was the cheapest for a small portion of a Gyros. Apart from the sweet stuff (which expensive too for sweet), all the other savoury foods were far above £10. 12GBP for a small bun with a meet. never again

Variety was limited and quality was nothing exceptional. Prices were pretty high, but would have been acceptable with better tasting food. Glad the event itself was free or I'd be seething.

Review of Exeter Street Food Festival 2024
A chaotic experience. We booked a table but when we arrived no tables were available. We eventually tracked down an organiser who asked a colleague to assist us. She then approached tables asking if they had booked. Eventually she asked three people to vacate a table for us to sit at,
It would be advisable to section off tables and staff the entrance to deter 'chancers'.
The food was expensive, nearly matching shop prices. Admittedly portions were generous but after just two shared dishes we were full. We had hoped the sizes would be smaller so that we could taste the food and experience more of the vendor's offerings.
All in all, a disappointing day

My Friday digital ticket said from 11.00am, I kept getting reminders saying the same, I drove 45 miles in the rain and trudged to all the entrances and they were all locked. Then another hopeful told me he's been told it didn't start till 2.00. By this time I was soaked through and fed up so we went to Popeyes and ate lunch and then drove home again.
If you going to organise an event get your details right on the tickets please

Review of Exeter Street Food Festival 2024
Paid for a reserved table from 2pm but didn't actually get to sit at it until 4pm due to the incompetence of staff who did not feel able to challenge those who did not reserve a table but sat there claiming that they did ( blagging without even being asked for proof) it took 3 awkward requests for a manager to step in and sort. Bar charged £2 per cup. Unable to get a refund on returning. Finally, we had to leave when 'live music' in form woman singing along to her club classics CD destroyed the otherwise reasonable vibe for anyone with ears.
