Artesan headline Behind the Wall, Falkirk, this September.

Recently labelled as rock's best kept secret” by newmusictoday.co.uk, Artesan are a band who revel in leading their listeners one way with their music and then giving them something they don’t expect. Acoustic guitars mixed in with soaring electric guitar solos, grooving drum beats, underpinned with bass guitar which can make your foot tap on one track and your chest burst on another, give it a dash of synth and top it off with a soaring vocal - that’s the Artesan sound. Drawing influence from bands such as The Verve, Oasis, Embrace and U2 their sound has a 90s vibe but with a distinctly modern take.
They were originally formed around 2010 in Falkirk, Scotland, when it was just Ronnie Bissett (lead vocal), Dickson Telfer (bass guitar) and Will Treeby (guitar) writing tunes and playing the odd gig but after going their separate ways at the end of 2013 they re-formed late 2018 with Ronnie's son Bryce (lead guitar) and long time collaborator Stuart Blackwood on drums.
The band have released 5 singles to date which have all received airplay on numerous radio stations such as BBC Introducing, Amazing Radio, Radio Wigwam and many more.
Recent gigs have been the breakthrough stage at Vibration festival in Falkirk. headlining The 13th Note, and The Old Hairdressers in Glasgow as well as supporting slots with Dr. Veers and Science Made Us Robots. A Legion Records showcase slot at Nice n Sleazy, Glasgow is already booked for May 2024.
New single Lonely People (Are Never Alone) will be released on 29th February 2024.
