Royal Engineers Museum venue information

The Royal Engineers Museum is Kent’s largest military museum, and holds the County’s only Designated Collection of historical and international importance. The Museum’s many galleries tell the story of Britain’s military engineers from the Roman period to the modern Corps of Royal Engineers. The millions of items in its collection tell of courage, creativity and innovation and the stories of individuals of great renown (such as General Gordon, Lord Kitchener and John Chard VC) as well as the Sappers who have helped the British Army live, move and fight and survive for over 300 years.
