Review of Country on the Clyde Afterparty
Paid £45 for three tickets, £20 on taxis to get there and back, £30 on three drinks (all spiriits and mixer) = £95.00 most expensive 15 minutes in a venue in my life. Never again! Tried the after show a few years ago, which was held in some dingy underground car park, and this was almost as bad.

Review of Country on the Clyde Afterparty
This was promoted as Country on the Clyde. When we arrived there was an artist singing his heart out, but all you could really hear was the loud chatter above. We ordered drinks, but got no glass or even a plastic container, they were only available for 'short drinks'. Seating was limited to a small bench in the corner, otherwise it was standing room only. Very disappointing and not value for money.
Luke Flear started his set, but struggling to hear him over the chatter we left, but so very glad we got to see and hear his full set at The Ferry on Sunday.

Review of Country on the Clyde Afterparty
The venue is absolutely not setup for people with accessibility issues. They really need to look into the needs of people as by not catering for this, they are discriminating against them. I was very happy to be offered a guest list spot for my helper however this should not be via the guest list and should be available at point of sale. There was no info available on their site and only the option of official contact was emailing or via social media. I will say though that the manager offered to call me directly from his mobile and was really helpful. Based on what he could do which was “we can give you a chair to sit on and you can bring it back to the bar any time you don’t need it. I spent the whole evening staring at the backs of others all stood up (it is not a seated venue).
Now I go to a lot of gigs across the country and the venue defo needs to sort this out. Maybe get in touch with the Manchester Academy staff and understand what they do. All they have is some barriers to corner off a small part of the front of stage area and some tall stools but it works really well.
Prices I felt were high especially as everything was in cans or bottles (barring spirits) so to pay over a tenner for a can of beer and a spirit drink I felt expensive. Also ticket price of £16.75 was probably a touch on the high side based on the venue quality and size. I would not have complained at say a tenner but this felt high.
Overall, the event could have been better especially as it was seen as a kind of follow on from the main Country to Country show with this event then being an “afterparty”.

Would love to see it in a bigger venue and really promoted by C2C but was a great night
A later time of 3 would be good also as c2c doesn't finish till 11 so we didn't make it there till just after 12am

Review of Country on the Clyde Afterparty
Having had a great time at C2C, booked tickets to the after party to keep partying to country music but the afterparty was dreadful. Music was awful that just killed the good time vibes. It’s no wonder so many people left!
