We came from Germany to see Wrest at the Barrowlands in Glasgow. The concert + support were fantastic and we are looking forward to seeing them again in 2025!

Barrowland Ballroom venue information

Originally built as a dancehall in the 1930s, and reopened as the venue it is today in the 1960s, The Barrowlands Ballroom has been a cornerstone of the Glasgow music scene for generations. The 1900 cap venue has seen almost every big act in the business grace its stage, from Bowie to Foo Fighters to The Clash to The Smiths, as well as bringing through homegrown Scottish talent like Mogwai, Primal Scream and Biffy Clyro. The venue is a true right of passage for any musician.

Infamously known for its springy dancefloor, stellar acoustics and massive neon-soaked sign, the legendary rock venue is not only known for the calibre of acts on its stage but the untamed nature of its audience. On them, Dave Grohl and Taylor Hawkins said:

“I think it’s the wildest audience in the world, one of ’em, it’s very close.”

“You know what? It might be true, the people here go off much harder than a lot of other places.”
