Review of Aidan O\'Rourke & Kit Downes
I really enjoyed this gig. Aidan O'Rourke and Kit Downes are highly talented musicians and I liked the short story readings that interspersed the wonderful music. I was also delighted to discover a new band for me - Avocet - who provided support.
The venue was intimate, set out with tables and candles, and this contributed to the gig's friendly, laid back atmosphere.

Review of Authority Zero + Goodbye Blue Monday + The Overbites
The support were decent enough, blue Monday, though spoke (not sang) about important issues (depression, trying to kill himself, bipolar etc) brung the crowd down abit. Authority zero were brilliant. Very short sets tho with the main band not even being on for an hour. Played early tracks and glad they didn't just stick to their persona album.
Venue has a seating area separate from the main stage area where alot folk sat for most of the night so it separated the crowd too much. Plus an outside seating area where other folk sat.
Crowd were flat, not even half full room, only about 10 folk dancing and about 5 in the pit (for about 3 songs) the bands mainly tried their best to keep atmosphere alive but failed. Genuinely thought they could sell it out with it being their first time in Scotland.
Overbites - 3*
Blue Monday - 2*
Authority zero - 5*

Review of Authority Zero + Goodbye Blue Monday + The Overbites
Good show. Intimate venue without being too small. Bar is separate yet with the venue. You can come and go as you please between the bands and the bar right beside the stage area. Authority Zero were good performers. Jason Devore interacted with the audience at the front. The whole band was on form. First time playing in Scotland hopefully not their last as I would definitely see them again. Overbites and Goodbye Blue Monday were also good support. I bought an Overbites EP the guys were selling. Both bands played quite fast music and talked to the crowd interacting right away. Overall a good night.
