DJ SYCLOPS
DJ $YCLOPS is the pseudonym of Ugandan-born, Glasgow-raised DJ Maveen.
As DJ $YCLOPS, he explores different realms of darkness through genre, with a mission to pushing back against the genre's collective dilution and reconnecting it with its original, often-overlooked Black roots.
His mission is to honour and revitalise techno's origins—a genre birthed in Black spaces and steeped in rich cultural history. By reclaiming these foundations, DJ $YClOPS reaffirms techno’s legacy and injects a new lease of life into the scene
Lewis Lowe
Co-owner of independent record label Redstone Press, resident at both The Flying Duck in Glasgow, Sneaky Pete’s in Edinburgh & recurring fixture at Field Maneuvers Festival, Lewis Lowe is an established regular in the UK underground club scene.
As a DJ Lewis is defined by his unswerving championing of forward thinking and original club music and commitment to the creative and communal possibilities of the dancefloor, marrying a well honed sense of craft to a playful disregard of the formulaic.
His imprint, Redstone Press is a leading light in Scottish club music and has received plays from the likes of Ben UFO, Sicaria & Elena Colombi amongst others and has worked with artists Eris Drew, Henry Greenleaf, Elanda, LWS, Dansa, Kincaid, Tano, Toumba and Tammo Hesselink in its five year lifetime.
Lewis has an implicit understanding of the connections between contemporary club mutations and UK styles, the Redstone Press boss will pull the dance to all the right places after a summer working limbs around clubs and festivals in the UK & Europe.
