Review of Glasgow Winterfest - ICE SKATING (Weekend Tickets)

The music was very explicit while there was children there, also the ice had a lot of holes making it a bit dangerous to skate on. Just not the same as it was 10 years ago when the rink was in the middle

Compared to other winter festival skating experiences , this one was very poor. The ice was in a terrible
Condition,  and there were yellow beware bollards everywhere. People couldnt skate and  falling everywhere - there was no order. It was a bit of a shambles. Have had better experiences for cheaper elsewhere!

Everything was great apart from the skates being totally blunt!
It was a health and safety issue as it meant no one could grip the ice and have a chance of staying on their feet.
I'll take rhe kids to a proper ice rink next year where they sharpen rhe skates.

Review of Glasgow WinterFest - Ice Skating (Mondays - Thursdays)

The tick*t instruction advised to arrive 15mins earlier to get start on time. But couldn't get in before booking time. Lost about 10 mins for preparation. The ice track is not smooth and have bumps cause difficulties for kids. Won't go there again.

Chunks out the ice, was not smooth and so skating was bumpy and less enjoyable.

Ice skates were not good quality , ice wasn't well maintained

Had a wonderful day at the Glasgow winter fest ice skating. The venue was full of chatter and laughter which speaks volume for the atmosphere the venue created. On a more logistical matter, the change over was smooth, the staff worked their socks off. Was great fun and to see the smiles on all the faces says it all, my grandson included, falls an all.

Had a great time at the ice skating, I would recommend to anyone to have go. Having to pay £3 extra for each of the kids cars was unexpected extra cost. All in all a great experience.
