We don’t have to say too much about how big a deal this is to us here in McChuills. This is the man without who, electronic dance music would have been very different, the man who took the Roland TB-303 and twisted it into something new and different. It’s no exaggeration to say that DJ Pierre charged the changed the world. And he’s coming to play in McChuills.
A pioneer of not one but two genres—acid house and wildpitch—Pierre is an artist who is considered a mentor to many of the ‘A’ list DJs—old and new—whose passion and talent continues to stand strong in an industry that’s had its ups ‘n’ downs.
From the days of Phuture, his seminal and highly-successful guise with fellow squelchers DJ Spank Spank and Herb, with their epic release Acid Trax, to his biggest hit The Horn Song, featuring Barbara Tucker, his solo projects with David Morales, Felix Da Housecat and his stint as Head of A&R at Strictly Rhythm, DJ Pierre is and always has been a force to be reckoned with.
Support comes from Bosco Loco (live), Rob Mason (LGB) and Junkyard Dog, who will be playing an original Chicago acid house set made up with nothing but original white labels and test pressings from back in the day.
You know this will be selling out very quickly, so we recommend getting on it asap. Trust us, you don’t want to miss this one.
