Slice of Life Scratch Night
Join us for a night showcasing three new pieces of writing at the Oran Mor Auditorium. The performances will debut some scenes from these scripts.
'I have a confession' is a look at the intersections in your life that become clearer as you learn more about yourself. How your upbringing and religion interacts with the version of yourself you become. It's a queer perspective on Catholicism and the complications that can arise.
'dead stars and black holes' is a dark comedy orbiting the idea of parenthood in a world on fire. It explores social, capitalist and cultural rituals and the construction of imagined futures. Following three people thrown together on a journey for a life beyond, 'dead stars and black holes' seeks to put a spotlight on what really matters- winding up with your pals, even during the apocalypse.
'forever is composed of nows' is a quarter life crisis come to life. It's a day in the life of twenty something flatmates trying to make their lives into something more important. The time they take wondering what their life will turn out like stops them from realising that they're living through a moment in time they'll look back on forever- their future nostalgia moments.
All money raised through ticket sales goes towards a future project we're very excited about!
