About

Glasgow Streetsound, in partnership with Buskers of Glasgow (https://linktr.ee/BuskersofGlasgow), is a live music showcase at Glasgow city centre based venue Room 2 (just off Buchanan Street), aimed at giving recognition to Glasgow’s (and further afield) talented musicians and street performers.

Join us for an evening of amazing live music for #22 with Emma Dunlop, Just Someone Who Cared, Tanith Bavaird and May Terra.

EMMA DUNLOP: "An independent alternative singer-songwriter from North Lanarkshire, Scotland. Emma started out as an acoustic artist, supporting greats like Midge Ure and Richie Havens on their UK tours. In May 2020, Emma released her self written, recorded and produced album Eleven Eleven and since then has been featured several times on BBC Radio Scotland and at the Edinburgh Festival. Other recent achievements include reaching the semi finals of the UK & International Song writing Contest in 2022, and supporting Horse McDonald on her recent Acoustic-y Tour. Expect songs about love, loss and self discovery, with influences from the the 80s and 90s."

JUST SOMEONE WHO CARED: "Established in 2022, Just Someone Who Cared, are an all girl indie-rock band from Glasgow. They started playing in their school theatre but have quickly worked their way up to playing bigger venues and organising their own youth music events. The members all have very different musical backgrounds but came together through their love of bands such as Belle and Sebastian, Blondie and Portishead. Their poetic lyrics, guitar driven riffs and artistic visuals create a very unique performance that they aim to develop and continue."

TANITH BAVAIRD: "Sixteen year-old singer-songwriter musician who has came through the ranks of East Kilbride's Mobilize Music Project and is also currently their Solo Artist of the Year."

MAY TERRA: "May Terra says she didn´t choose music, but was chosen - and saved! - by it instead. It was the simplicity of folk music that showed her how incredible life could get if she could write songs. May Terra’s music tells her own stories and personal processes, spiritual experiences and political views. She is most influenced by Neil Young, Joni Mitchell and Nick Drake."

Please select the ticket option for the act you are primarily buying your ticket to support. £8+BF in advance. £10 entry on the door (cash or card).

We will be joined again by the volunteers from the charity Love Hope Strength Foundation, who will have a table up the back of the room, if you would like to chat to them about how to sign up to join the UK's blood cancer and leukemia donor register. It's a very easy and quick at the gig process. You could save someone's life!

Room 2 is only a few minutes walk from Central and Queen Street Train Stations, Buchanan Bus Station and is near to the Subway on Buchanan Street.
