Review of Under Review, Black Eclipse, Silver Machine, The Grapevine

I went along to support Under Review. This young band have only been together for 1½ years. If you are looking for 4 technically gifted and talented musicians then you need look no further. They provide an eclectic mix of genres, keeping the listener on their toes. From Stacy's Mom to Queens of the Stoneage covers - you are in for a treat at one of their gigs. They are also really talented composers and their current EP One More Thought is available on all streaming platforms. I heartily recommend a listen - its really good. Morgan, their excellent lead guitarist can shred a rift with the best of them, with impressive technique on the fret board and nifty finger work; Josh, the lead singer has a great vocal range and pitch, whilst also playing guitar; Max, the talented bassist is the epitome of the cool bass player and provides a meaty beat to their music. The drummer, Matt, is brilliant and is really adept at providing timing and rhythm with a pulse that really sets the music alight. In my opinion they are a band to keep an eye on. Give them a listen - you won't be disappointed.
The opening act was The Grapevine. This was their first gig and they did really well. They have a very talented lead vocalist who did Debby Harry proud with her rendition of Call Me. Great pipes!! The guitarists and drums (sorry, I don't know their names) provided a perfect counterpoint and support to her vocals. Another one to watch. The main support was Black Eclipse. They obviously have a dedicated following already. Their opening track was reminiscent of the 90s like Sum 41 or Alien Ant Farm. Then it turned a bit more beefy. Talented musicians, enthusiastic drummer and a great front man who is adept at connecting with the crowd. Anyway, I had a great night and would definitely recommend you checking out all of the bands.

Brilliant bands especially The Grapevine, only female on the bill and was totally awesome. What a voice. Will be following this band as they'll no doubt go very far. Great night.
