Review of Playground Festival
The queue to get in because they had run out of consent forms was an irritation and there was no toilet roll in many of the portaloos by early evening. The thunderstorm and resultant mud was difficult to contend with with young children, but clearly unavoidable! Fairly long queues for food and bar at times, but not the worst I've experienced at festivals. For us the whole Lauryn Hill debacle was the nail in the coffin. We left just as she came on as the children were so fed up by then. Lack of lighting on the way out, combined with the mud made for a very tricky exit.

Really enjoyed the day but was really disappointed at Lauryn Hill not bothering to turn up on time as usual. I don’t live in Glasgow so had to leave to get transport home. Only disappointing bit of the day.

Review of Playground Festival
For a festival in its first year, I was impressed. It was a great crowd and setting (not too busy etc) prices were usual festival prices, great rating choice and a good variety of acts (bar one very tardy Ms Lauryn Hill). Hope it returns next year!

Review of Playground Festival
I only attended for part of Sunday, early with my young daughters , and after 6 for a band.
I have worked at amd attemded many festivals and what i can say is the stewards were extrememly helpful, especially making it easy for me to get back in after dropping my daughters off.
Not the usual jobsworth animals.
Would be very happy to return with my girls next year.
Only issue, and given the family nature, not enough alcohol free drinks, sold out.

Review of Playground Festival
Good venue with incredibly helpful and friendly staff. Most of the music was fantastic, especially Craig Charles, but Lauryn Hill showed up for just 20 minutes of a 90 minute set (and then had a 20 minute tantrum, singing with anger and contempt while gesticulating furiously at her unfortunate crew.) Not the fault of the organisers, but still a huge blow to those of us who paid to see her. I would hope that organisers would think twice before booking her again.
