Main act showed up just as it was closing. De la soul couldn’t play any of their old songs for legal reasons????????!!!
Well done to the buffer DJ..........such a disappointment.

groove armada on the Friday night were great. venue is good but the queues for the bars were terrible 1 hr to get a drink !!!!!!! they need to get their act together re this. paid £ 55 and since found out could have got it for almost 1/2 the price including even a 5 pm deal !!!
overall had a good time and hope it cont. next year with 4 times as many bar staff !!!!

Shocking bar service (45 min wait) no draft beer, no water. Lauryn Hill over an hour late and set cut short. Terrible behaviour for the headliner. I’ll be looking for a refund.

Not worth the money. Only really went to see Lauryn Hill like many others. She turned up an hour late saying, 'sorry for my tardiness, it's my son's 22nd bday'. Ridiculous. Meant to be the headline act but her set only lasted just over 30 mins. I think she sang 4 songs and then left. When we left it was extremely dark and most people were walking into the woods in the dark to get to Davieland Rd. Playground Festival - refund please.
Everyone unhappy about this event please post. Does anyone know who the organisers are and have they responded to anyone's emails or messages on Facebook?

Great wee festival, and a fantastic lineup. Loved the venue, the scale and layout. The lineup across the weekend was fantastic, even though I was only there Friday and Saturday. I’m sure there can b improvements in the bar arrangements, as up to an hour to queue really is too long for a festival, and the prices were a only a little bit too high compared to similar events. That said, the security staff in the queues were excellent: I saw potential queue jumpers and “undesirables” dealt with quickly and efficiently.

I hope the adverse weather on Saturday doesn’t reflect on the organisation of the festival, although some hot tea/coffee/hot chocolate vendors wouldn’t go amiss....especially with the kids there. Also some boards down at the toilets and main thoroughfares would be a good idea next time to avoid the quagmire.

Having seen Lauryn Hill before, I knew there was a high probablility she’d be late, and sadly this was the case and very disrespectful to those who’d paid to see her. This was especially unfortunate with the amount of very small kids in the venue, still wet from earlier and very very tired, so late at night and antsy waiting for the headliner. Also lots of travel arrangements affected by her being so late.

Thank the lord for Craig Charles, who brought the virtual sunshine that was needed. Groove Armada were a class above as usual and Friendly Fires were fab.

That said I really hope the festival continues and it gets better and better with experience. The food was excellent, and all staff were friendly.

Queues for food and beers were horrendous. Missed a whole act due to it. Venue was lovely apart from that and Craig Charles abd anna calvi were great. Wouldn’t know about de la soul as I queued for a beer straight after crush Charles and by the time I was served I’d missed all of de la soul bar 2 mins of the last song. The reason the review is so poor is because of Lauren hill. She was an absolute disgrace. 1 hour and 20 mins late and then only sung a couple of songs. Truly ridiculous behaviour.

There needed to be ground protection on heavy trafficked areas.
The queues at the bars were terrible and £5 for a can of beer was dreadful
Too many DJ sets and needed live musicians
No water points was dreadful
Lauryn Hill headlining for a 15 minute is unforgivable.
Footballs being allowed was down right dangerous
Lighting on exit route is necessary

I went on the Saturday only. It started off very promisingly with nice DJ grooves and Anna Calvi who was superb and a nice intimate setting....but then all went pear shaped. Queues were insanely long , drinks very dear, no hot drinks at all,. De La Soul set was more like panto audience participation and Lauryn Hill showed up over an hour late - she shouldn’t have bothered.
Shame as there was potential for a great time but most people left with a bitter taste and probably very sober.

Lack of signage and information across the whole site! Why was soap placed in the portaloo's if there no means of washing hands?! Why was toilet paper not replenished overnight? Ridiculous that umbrellas were not permitted when torrential rain was forecast! No drinking water available for free unless you paid £2 for a bottle - scandalous! The best part was trying to leave the site at 11.15pm with NO LIGHTS directing you to the exit safely! We had to walk in complete darkness across the park and don't get me started on the underfoot conditions - no mating was put down. No idea how H&S signed this one off!

Bars! Bars! Bars! - queues, lack of staff, incorrect signage, over 90mins for a drink. Simply not good enough! Can’t comment on food or much else as most of the time was spent queuing at the bar before the main act came on, which by the way, saved the whole experience for me!

Really disappointed that Lauryn Hill came on very late as this was the only reason that we got tickets.
Great venue, disappointed with the kebabs we bought...all 3 of us had heartburn.

Great mix of music. Great variety of bars and food stalls. Recommend more staff to cope with demand as queue times were horrendous .

Only thing I would say which needs attention were queues for drinks. More bars or staff needed. I waited for an hour for a drink. At transmt it was prob about 15 mins in queue so caused bit of problem.

Need to sort out the bars, too expensive for warm beer and too long of wait time for the gin tent and mojito tent. The toilets, no toilet roll from 5pm onwards on friday!

Venue and staff was top class as were most of the performers -Apart from Lauryn Hill as 30 mins is way too short for a headliner who decided to f**k off stage after appearing 75 mins late
