Review of Sub Club

I was at Gerd Janson night. Music not for me at all, and he’s meant to be among the best of the djs in their music bracket. Def got a loyal crowd but perhaps one blinkered by loyalty to this totally average club. Had serious reservations about club & music before, the Harri and Domenic residents do not do it for me at all either, find their music bland to be honest. I think one of the main things here is this is quite obviously a commercial nightclub presenting itself as an ‘underground’ supercool entity. The music is safe and watered down, aimed at a commercial audience. Another night heavily reviewed on skiddle is the John Digw**d night and I notice they’ve got streetrave nights on - these are massively commercial, mainstream events and would never get a look in at clubs that are not thinking in this commercial way, I think these say it all about the club. Anyone looking closely at it can easily seee this is not the groundbreaking club it itself tells you it is.

Used to be a cracking place to go. Recently music has been pretty predicatble, nothing new over the past few times I've been. New young bouncers they have on the door are utter c**ts, getting wide for no reason, grabbed my friend by the collar after he tried going back in after a smoke and told to get to f**k. Total hostile atmosphere. Would not recommend.

Don't bother going. Was inside, and handpicked by bouncers after leaving toilets because I was too drunk, even though everyone else who was leaving was evidently on drugs. was then taken outside and told to go get food because I was too drunk even though I was fine. Yeah obviously I was drunk was drinking your alcohol all night. If you go make sure you don't drink any booze just drop pingers or sniff gear and you'll be fine.
