Review of The Invaines
I saw The Invaines and Paisley Parc - both bands were excellent and the atmosphere was buzzing. The venue is fine but it could do with having a platform of some sort to raise the level of the bands for visibility.

Review of Strange & Charm @ The Note
We really enjoyed the opening set by Nico Gaul which we would rate as 5 Star & will definitely see him perform again. Strange & Charm were good but the constant interference of the 2 photographers reduced our enjoyment of their performance as they were always standing in front of the band! Not good!
Venue? It’s a pretty scruffy basement with limited bar facilities.

Review of The Slackhead Incident / The Midnight Special / Lost Tickets
Although playing all 'covers' , The Midnight Special was an absolute blast of a band - classic rock delivered with real character. Great to a see a young band trying to entertain and engage an audience - absolutely brilliant!
The other bands were good too, I should add, but it was just so refreshing to see a real on-stage 'act' again, as a lot of young bands can be a bit introspective.
The Midnight Special , however, were full-on rock - left everyone smiling.

Review of The Kidney Flowers + Fat Black Cats + The Crails
Great gig in a close up environment. A built for music feel about the place. Fat Black Cats, The Kidney Flowers and The Crails are all excellent bands. So much energy and talent!

Review of The Heavy North
All the acts done well, but The Heavy North were top tier, 13th Note is an intimate venue & happy I got to experience them in such a place, look forward to seeing them in a bigger venue next time. The atmsophere was as great as always at the bar/venue area

Review of The Heavy North
Absolutely brilliant night. The bands were fantastic. Sound was great, decent drinks prices. Cracking little music venue.
Great parking in the NCP directly across the road too.
Recent road changes meant the SatNav tried to send us down a now pedestrianised street, but we found it in the end!
Highly recommended.
